Granborough Parish Council’s small grants scheme for local voluntary organisations or Charities, is open between February and March each year.


The Parish Council aims to operate a modest grant scheme each year for small sums between £50 and £1,000. Allocation will not exceed the Budgeted amount; in 2018/19 this is £1,500.  This is a smaller amount than in previous years due to the Parish Council deciding to make a £2,000 donation towards the cost of refurbishing the Village Hall from the 2018/19 budget.


To apply for a small grant, applicants must be Voluntary groups or Charities only, providing a service which clearly and directly benefits a significant number of Parish Residents.

The Council defines a voluntary group as a “not-for-profit” organisation set up and run by Volunteers and a Charity as an organisation registered as a Charity.

Grants are made to support special events, help meet deficits on future running costs, help encourage new groups, or to help fund one-off expenditure such as the purchase of new equipment.  Grants will only be made to organisations which need financial help and may not be used to cover money already spent.


Please click on the link below to download an application form.  Completed forms must be sent to the Parish Clerk by email ( or by post (Granborough Parish Council, 10 Elmers Meadow, North Marston, MK18 3PA), before 31st March 2018.
The Parish Council will allocate the funds at their meeting on 17th April 2018 and you will be notified of their decision on or before 23rd April 2018.  All applicants in receipt of a grant will need to send a representative to our Annual Village Meeting on 22nd May 2018, to give a brief speech about your group or charity, and what if offers to the village.   Funds will be transferred to successful applicants accounts before 1st June 2018.
